My next tattoo, and possibly the one after
I got my first tattoo a couple months ago. It went rather well.
The pain was nothing like I had been cautioned by others; it was all really quite tame.
I damn near fell asleep on the table.
Yes, it was on the meaty part of my left calf, which I'm sure helped plenty in that regard. (And if you know me at all, I'm sure it seems out of character that my first tattoo was a fecking car.)
My second will be a semi-colon.
I don't think I need to say much more about that.
If you know, you know.
My third, on the other hand...
Originally, it was meant to be a butterfly. A butterfly with a torn wing.
A design that I have worked on for years and never been happy with, based on a photograph I took in college.
But I had another idea slip into my brain, and the butterfly has slipped back a step.
I have to talk about it with my artist, the idea I had that was borne out of a cautionary comment he made. I think number three is likely to be a hammock.
