More fingernail hijinks
It's Pride month (if you hadn't noticed) and I've been slowly collecting more fingernail paint colors in anticipation. (Why is it so difficult to find yellow?)
There's something of a logistical problem involved:
The stock pride flag has 6 colors... and I have 5 fingers.
Okay, I have ten fingers, but getting the other hand involved doesn't really make this much easier.
Some flags are three or five colors, those are relatively easy.
But many are four or six...
And some have chevrons or weird shapes in them...
Even if I had the artistic ability to do something more complicated, I don't have the dexterity for it (I'm handicapped by a nasty tremor in my hands).
I even reached out to the fedi-community and...
I don't want to complain about the responses, because if I do that, I'm not likely to keep receiving them. Suffice to say they helped me find a different solution of my own, something within my capabilities to do.
This is what I ended up with:
I'm not terribly happy with it, but I am willing to admit it's probably the best I could have done, shy of paying a professional to do something better.
Now I just have to settle on what I'm doing on my right hand, because my left definitely does not have the dexterity to pull off something this complex. I'm tempted to do the transgender pride flag, but I'm not quite set on it, mostly because I prefer dark colors on my fingers.
I do have a darkish blue (seen on my index and thumb in the image above, a darkish pink (which I haven't tried yet), and a slightly darker white (also brand new, also untried).
Thoughts?
